Please note there is a fair bit of variation in terms of the font sizes on this baggie type, these have been given sub classifications (A/B/C), this could be down to different print press being used, but could also be an era specific thing, just not enough is know & nothing documented about palitoy production like their kenner counterparts, but all 3 versions shown above have been confirmed multiple times with the Palito-A (c) being the rarest of the 3.

Palitoy-f (A) Taped baggie from an Endor chase set that also came with two Palitoy-u Biker Scouts, note the extra wide tape used, same as on the Palitoy-u baggies.
Palitoy-f (B) (open one end) – This one is a bit of an oddity, much like the reclassification of the Fett baggies with the same font & top heat seal (from KENNER SW-d to ROTJ-j), this however is purely a baggie issued by Palitoy & has been found both in Woolies 99p 8 packs as well as in the POTF Endor play packs, it can be found both open one end as well as factory tape sealed, it has even been encountered factory stapled & is to date only the 2nd baggie type to be confirmed as having been issued directly in the stapled format.
So in Short there are 3 versions of this know which I will sub-classify as follows:
– Palitoy-f (A) Tape sealed
– Palitoy-f (B) Open one end / no bottom seal
– Palitoy-f (C) Stapled
There are as said also Kenner issued baggies which are as good as identical, those being the ROTJ-j type, which fall in to two era’s (SW issued & ROTJ era issued).
So this is why it’s taken me years to want to make a solid classification for these, heck there’s still dispute with some over the reclassifying of the Kenner issued ones, so I shall firmly keep my tin hat on with these – confused? I hope not.

Please note the above image, I have just noticed there is an easy way to tell the difference between the Palitoy & Kenner issued version, it’s so subtle I never noticed till now, details on the image text.
Palitoy-h (LIKE) but taped & the Han shown is double taped at that (Palitoy-h is heat sealed). However, this can not be confirmed due to the double tape seal, It could easily be a factory double tape seal, but it can not be confirmed as such, so regard this one as in question & as a fake till another example can be found.
Small light blue horizontal font soft baggie,. This is the longest of all baggie types being almost twice as long as most examples & is found both tape sealed & open ended, a few examples of it have even surfaced simply knotted to seal it, I would have written the knotted examples off totally as just done after the fact if it were not for a large cache of 8D8’s turning up like it many many years ago, obviously only examples found tape sealed can be 100% confirmed as it’s way to easy to switch the figure out on an open or knotted example, so caution is always advised when looking to buy this type of baggie.
The font is a lighter blue than the Palitoy-a’s & the font is also notably smaller.

Yoda with Meccano red sticker (free figure offer): Open ended baggie (unsealed). Same as the example without sticker. All the examples from the meccanon free figure (red sticker) offer baggies find, do not have a tape seal like the one above, this 100% cements the fact that “some: of the Palitoy-i baggies did indeed come without any form of seal, so open at one end. Many such examples have been found with the Woolies 99p 8 packs.
Photo Courtesy of Andrew Neo, this baggie was specific to the Palitoy issued Dengar single mailer (see mailer section for more info), I have however seen 2 other figures crop up in this baggie type, those being the At At Driver & a Yoda, I have never seen either in hand so can not confirm if indeed any other figures were ever produced/shipped in this baggie type for carding etc.
Please note although a totally different colour text, the Palitoy-m is the exact same font style & size as the Palitoy-k & Palitoy-d baggie shown earlier.
This baggie type had previously been mistaken for Palitoy-n, but on close inspection there are a number of notable differences between the two colours of font, N being more desaturated and the sharpness of the font edges, while the (new) P classification has a more blue-grey colouration.
Not Kenner ROTJ-g that they are commonly mistaken for IMO, as most have turned up in the UK & Europe (in fairly large numbers) & the font is a clearly a lot thicker than their Kenner ROTG-g counterpart. None of these have ever been found in any Kenner issued MP’s or other items like the special offers.
Reclassification / new classification as of 6/10/24, one I have been meaning to get classified for some time. This is another Palitoy baggie which has been seen with a couple of figures, most notably the Nien Nunb & Admiral Ackbar. The baggie has been found in some Palitoy NN mailers as well as Clipper versions. It is speculated these are of earlier origin than the Palitoy-a baggies, as I have an example on a Kenner box with Palitoy sticker overlay & the clipper versions that have been found included this baggie.
Palitoy-r has been found in the clipper issued mailers & even sometimes the Palitoy version came with a larger/darker font type.
I am pleased to be able to confirm this baggie was not solely found in the Hoth rescue pack & was in fact a baggie I suspect to be an internal baggie, usually intended for opening for carding (speculation), as Laurence found a good size cash of mostly palitoy issued baggies in a loft find from someone who actually got them all back in the day & has had them stored in a loft ever since, a great find which also confirms that Palitoy had some Kenner issued baggies at the time toward the end of the toy line, so hypothetically speaking, some of the woolies 8 packs that have been found with the odd Kenner baggie included in the lineup (sadly all open examples to date) may in fact be correct.
